CONTENT OUTLINE

Day 1
How to Build Interactive eLearning

A lot of people complain about boring eLearning courses because many of them are irrelevant, poorly designed, and interactivity is usually limited to clicking the next button. In this session, we’ll explore what interactive eLearning is and how you can take a step away from the typical click and read content.

Tom Kuhlmann will focus on general concepts and ideas around developing interactive eLearning, and teach the attendees to move past the typical click and read courses. The concepts and ideas presented will allow for implementation in any authoring software.
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
  • Define interactivity and where it’s most valuable
  • Determine when and where to apply resources for interactive eLearning
  • Discover the basic building blocks for interactive eLearning
  • Design interactive learning models that can be quickly applied to the next course
Day 2
How to Use Articulate Storyline to Build Interactive eLearning

Interested in exploring Articulate Storyline 2.0? Then we have a workshop for you! You’ll learn to create the basic interaction types in Articulate Storyline: click, mouseover, and drag/drop. Then, learn to apply these types of interactivity to your eLearning courses by examining some successful courses, deconstructing them, and building your own prototypes.

Tom Kuhlmann will provide a basic overview of the authoring process in Articulate Storyline 2.0 and allow learners to create their own interactive content.
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
  • Create interactive content in Articulate Storyline 2.0
  • Deconstruct successful interactive modules
  • Build interactive module prototypes
