ATDChi Road Show: An Intimate Visit with Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago

Sponsored by SilkRoad

What’s a Road Show? It’s our latest chapter event format, during which we visit local icons in Talent Development. You will not want to miss this magnificent inaugural event as we learn from the best, while paying it forward.

Join us Tuesday, May 12 (Yes Tuesday, not Thursday) at the award-winning Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago for a spectacular evening that will include

  • “Backstage” and “onstage” tours of select areas of the hospital. Ever wonder how much training it takes to keep a decontamination unit in a busy downtown hospital ambulance bay ready for a national disaster? Curious how Lurie Children’s managed to move an entire hospital overnight? Don’t miss this thrilling portion of the evening.

  • Networking with Heavy Appetizers while overlooking the city. You know that spectacular window façade with the handprint that overlooks Chicago Ave. from above? That’s where we’ll be!

  • Fishbowl Team Meeting and Facilitated Discussion. This is where we pay it forward. We will look on as members of the Hospital Education & Workforce Development Team, led by Diana Halfer and Julia Hooper, leaders within the Hospital Education & Workforce Development function, discuss a current project’s progress, challenges and triumphs. This is not just a peek into their world. At times we’ll be asked for help as they weave their way through some problem solving. This session will be fun and beneficial for all.

Agenda

  • 5:30 - 6:15 pm: Registration, Networking, Open Bar and Hospital Tours.
Small group tours will start whenever groups of 10 assemble. Last tour starts promptly at 6:15. No late tours, so be sure to get there early.
  • 6:15 - 7:15 pm: Networking, Open Bar and Heavy Appetizers
  • 7:30 - 8:30 pm: Fishbowl Program
