ATD Chicagoland is volunteer-powered. When you get involved, you help shape experiences, strengthen community, and support the work that keeps our chapter growing.
Since 1943, ATD Chicagoland has been a place for learning, connection, industry insight, and community. Volunteering is one of the most meaningful ways to deepen your engagement with the chapter while contributing your time, energy, and expertise.
Whether you are looking to contribute your strengths, support the chapter community, build meaningful connections, or grow through service, we are excited to learn more about how you would like to get involved.
Volunteer opportunities with ATD Chicagoland are available to current chapter members. If you are interested in getting involved and are not yet a member, we encourage you to join the chapter and then complete the volunteer interest form.
Our volunteer opportunities vary based on chapter needs, your interests, and your availability. Here are some of the ways members may contribute.
Support webinar production, event technology, registration, logistics, and the experiences that help our programs run smoothly.
Volunteers may also help shape events that feel welcoming, relevant, and meaningful for our community.
Design, develop, or facilitate content and learning experiences, including study groups, chapter programs, and conference-related support.
This may include curriculum development, facilitation, content planning, or helping create spaces where members gather and grow together.
Help foster belonging, build relationships, welcome members, and strengthen the chapter experience across our community.
This can include outreach, member connection, mentoring support, community-building, and partnership development.
Support chapter visibility through social media, newsletters, email communications, website updates, and digital storytelling.
If you enjoy content creation, outreach, or helping people stay connected and informed, there may be a place for your strengths here.
Contribute through financial support, operational coordination, reporting, survey design, evaluation analysis, and other behind-the-scenes work.
These roles help the chapter stay organized, informed, and positioned to serve members well.
Explore opportunities to serve in board, committee, director, manager, or executive roles that help shape chapter strategy and direction.
Leadership pathways vary based on experience, interest, timing, and chapter need.
Help with specific needs, projects, or one-time efforts as opportunities arise.
Serve on a team, committee, or ongoing effort that supports the chapter over time.
Explore manager, director, board, or executive roles that help bring strategy and chapter goals to life.
Share a little about your interests, strengths, and availability so we can better understand how you may want to engage with ATD Chicagoland.
